Job Summary: 

The Digital Markeitng team at Vail Resorts is looking for an SEO subject matter expert to join our Digital Marketing team!

This role will have a specific focus on maturing our SEO approach across content and technical site structure to ensure we can maximize the organic growth value from our 42 resorts across the globe and the Epic Pass brand. Reporting into the Sr. Director of E-comm, and leading a team of internal and agency partners, the right person for this role will come in and be a game-changer in how we garner greater value from our amazing ski destination resort brands

  • The budgeted range starts at $95,000 - $123,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

This role will report to the Sr. Director of Ecommerce and focus on evolving and maturing our SEO approach for our resort brands and the Epic Pass.

 

This role will partner with content marketing teams (PR, Earned Media, Organic Social), Digital Marketing teams (E-comm, IT), and will also interface with various lines of business (e.g. Season Pass, Ski/Ride School, Hospitality, My Epic Gear & Rentals).

 

What you’ll do

  • Define Vail Resorts’ SEO strategy across current and new products and services.
  • Identify new opportunities to increase online visibility and drive organic traffic. Including full site and content audits to identify ways to improve site structure that increases organic ranking potential.
  • Measure and optimize the overall SEO program’s success.
  • Perform competitive analysis and benchmarking while monitoring and measuring search positioning.
  • Build and maintain SEO reporting dashboards to track performance.
  • Demonstrate a superior understanding of technical SEO practices and tools.
  • Collaborate closely with the content marketing team to drive effective SEO strategies, identifying ways to better utilize and propagate our inspirational skiing/snowboarding content in more places across the digital experience to drive greater organic traffic value.
  • Perform opportunity analysis and make recommendations for funding in both content and technical spaces to maximize SEO value.
  • Partner closely with the E-comm team and Digital IT teams to create an organic growth roadmap focused on technical and content related opportunities that grow traffic and conversions across primary search engines.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Business, Technology, Economics, Marketing, Communications, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Mathematics) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in SEO roles with increasing responsibilities.
  • Extensive track record of proven success in SEO marketing and experience using SEO tools.
  • Technically proficient in all components of SEO.
  • Curiosity and natural energy to drive initiatives forward quickly.
  • Thrive in a dynamic work environment where hands-on management is the norm, and strategies are adjusted to take advantage of new opportunities
  • Self-directed and collaborative person who knows how to prioritize tasks and get things done.

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $95,000 - $123,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
