THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our products. You will be instrumental in gathering and prioritizing requirements, planning roadmaps, and aligning priorities with our business needs and technical capabilities. Your responsibilities will encompass collecting both customer and business requirements, and collaborating closely with our software development team to meet and exceed customer satisfaction goals. Additionally, you will support the overall strategy and objectives of our product line, ensuring alignment with our broader organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear user stories, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the strategic direction of the product, taking into consideration market trends, customer feedback, and technical capabilities.
  • Prioritize features and enhancement requirement gathering based on business value. Being aware of the technical feasibility, and resource availability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, marketing, commercial, and project management to ensure successful delivery of product releases. 
  • Be part of engineering decisions on sprint planning, resource allocation, and project management against roadmap execution. 
  • Create internal and external documentation such as process flows, step-by-step instructions as well as product updates and enhancements. 
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure effective communication and understanding of requirements.
  • Responsible for following all MTA policies and procedures related to security controls for the protection of personal or sensitive data and all confidential information; personal and sensitive data is defined as such by GDPR; confidential information is defined as all data, documents, or materials, in any form or medium, provided to the company that could reasonably be expected to be proprietary to a client or sponsor; confidential information includes, but is not limited to, any information concerning or relating to the property, products, technology, business and affairs of that client or sponsor 
  • Complete all required Company directed security, policies, and procedure training. Perform other duties as requested.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Must possess enough technical knowledge such as: agile software dev process, system interconnection and API, to ask software engineers valuable questions about our product architecture.
  • Keeps up with current trends such as AI
  • Experience in the Events, Travel or Hospitality Industry a plus
  • Experience working with developers within a Microsoft stack environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather insights from data to drive decision-making processes.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, mockups are required.
  • UX experience would be highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of the Virtual / Remote meeting lifecycle a plus.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills.
  • Project management experience required.
